What is your favorite part about working for Evertis, and how would you describe the company culture?
I love the dynamic nature of our work here at Evertis. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to develop innovative solutions that set us apart in the market. I’m fortunate to work with such a talented and supportive team, in which everyone contributes to the company’s success. Our shared commitment to growth and improvement creates a work environment where everyone's contributions matter. We are a family, and this culture is vital to the company’s growth.
As COO Evertis Americas, what has been the most challenging thing you’ve faced in your career at Evertis, and how did you overcome it?
Since I am based in the Evertis México plant, I am not able to be physically present in the Brazilian plant every day. I want to be fully involved in the day-to-day action in both countries, so I have had to find creative ways to be actively involved in Evertis Brazil’s day-to-day operations. We have also been working tirelessly to achieve various ISO certifications, which has been very challenging yet rewarding.
Beyond daily operations, we have faced significant strategic challenges, such as establishing a completely new market for our healthcare brand, Evercare, and obtaining the ISO 13845:2015 certification.
Where would you like to see both Evertis and our industry in 10 years’ time?
In the next decade, I envision Evertis with a even stronger portfolio of clients and key strategic partners that help us drive sustainability throughout the entire supply chain. I want the IMG Group to be renowned for our sustainability initiatives.
In 10 years’, time, I hope to see Evertis expand its operations to multiple strategic locations, including the United States. While we already operate in various countries, my goal is for the IMG Group to grow into a global organisation.
What do you believe differentiates Evertis from competitors?
Since we are a family-owned business, we have an advantage in many facets of business. Decision-making is done at a much faster pace, and we have the flexibility to adapt to market changes and, most importantly, customers’ needs. Being a family-owned business, this “family” culture is embedded into all aspects of our business. Our customers are our partners, and we want to grow with them.
In terms of sustainability, how do you think Evertis can better meet our customers’ needs?
As a Group, we consistently strive to close the loop and create a circular economy. We must continue to head sustainability initiatives and work to repair the perception of the PET industry. We recently launched our delamination plant that is operating with our proprietary technology, which allows us to recover PET flakes from multilayer films. We’ve also been working with the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) to certify our products. Our actions are a testament to our dedication of reaching circularity.
