Inspired by their innovative pilot project, the Sustainable craft workshop program for children: Turning trash into art, we decided to fund their first workshop, that ran from June to August. It was a transformative and unique experience  designed to introduce environmental awareness and release the creative potential of the children who participated.  15  children had the opportunity to learn from skilled artisans who are passionate about transforming waste materials into beautiful and functional works of art and contribute to the association’s sustainability by showcasing and selling the crafted pieces.

In addition to the craft workshops, the project also included at least two beach clean-ups per month, reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation and community involvement. These clean-ups will not only help keep the local beaches clean but also teach the children about the impact of waste on the ecosystems and how important it is to take proactive steps to protect their environment.

As the program progresses, we look forward to seeing the incredible artworks created by the children and the positive impact of the beach clean-ups on the local environment.
