At Evertis, we believe in investing in the future of communities where we operate, and this commitment is exemplified through our partnership with the Careyes Foundation's Vocational Training Center (VTC). The VTC, situated in the village of Emiliano Zapata, La Huerta, Jalisco, is a place dedicated to providing professional training and improving people's skills in various areas, ultimately promoting their employability.
Historically, the Vocational Training Center (VTC) has been the focal point of the initiatives, fostering professional training and skill improvement. However, the situation has evolved and relying solely on the physical VTC center in Zapata may have its limitations to reach a higher social impact. The new approach in 2023 is to diversify the delivery channels of these initiatives and bring the programs directly to the communities' doorsteps.
In 2019, through our collaboration with the Sol Pacífico Foundation, Evertis made an initial donation of $10,000 to kickstart the VTC. With the successful outcomes in 2021 and 2022, we decided to continue with our support in 2023 with an additional donation of $10,000, aimed at increasing the social value generated by our partnership even further.
One notable achievement in this regard is their recent collaboration with The University of Texas in Austin, who are working closely with the Careyes Foundation Robotics Club – activity financed by our most recent donation. This joint effort focuses on advancing STEM education and providing valuable opportunities for local students.
Furthermore, our partnership extends to entrepreneurship programs. This initiative will provide hands-on experience, enriching their skills in the field. And, since inclusivity is at the heart of this partnership, we reinforce our commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs.
Our collaboration with Careyes HR and SECTUR de Jalisco has also led to successful tourism-related courses, with more exciting prospects on the horizon.
At Evertis, we remain dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the young adults in the community. Our loyalty to regeneration entails not only growth for our company, but also growth and development for the communities we serve.
